His pottery is usually glazed with blues, greens and copper mats with copper luster and beet reds appearing during the raku firing process. Some pieces have driftwood and rawhide handles, as well as the use of branches, twigs, cord, copper wire and beads in an effort to impart a feeling of nature to each. Other shapes may also tend to show an oriental influence.
Raku pottery is fragile, not waterproof, and is intended for decorative use only.
