Painting from nature, Charlotte’s latest paintings are landscapes that start with free-flowing watercolor, mostly wet-into-wet, and finish with a layer of pastel. The addition of pastel adds a textural dimension that watercolor can’t provide. Charlotte works from her photos and field studies and admits to playing with nature a bit to get the desired feel for the subject.
