For over 40 years, I have straddled a line between the structure of the commercial graphics business, and the creative, challenging world of fine art. While a career in graphics management has afforded me many opportunities, I have spent my most productive and rewarding hours at an easel, either in my home studio or outdoors, surrounded by mountains, trees and streams. Stretching my imagination, developing techniques, collaborating with clients to express their stories and memories through my work, I endeavor to make art engaging and affordable for everyone.
Beginning with a blank canvas and an idea, my art is born of passion for the subject and love of the process. Representational art, or realism, is what I most enjoy doing, with my focus on the colors, light, and feel of the subject or scene. With anticipation of new and rewarding artistic challenges, I like working closely with clients to document memories and tell their stories. Using oil, acrylic, or my trademark style of pen and ink with mixed media, I am pleased when a painting is completed and meets the expectations of customers and friends.
